AFAB'S CLASSIC building has a truss sitting on every engineered laminated post 4 feet on-centre on the side walls. The end wall posts are spaced up to 6 feet on-centre. We employ a superior rafter fastening system by bolting the truss to the post. Our ULTRAPOST is a glued and nailed column with PWF (Permanent Wood Foundation) treating in the below grade portion of the column.

All strapping joints are staggered for superior strength and durability. All exterior wall strapping is construction grade planed 2" x 6" on 24" centers. All cladding is fastened with 1-1/2" woodgrips with neoprene washers. The overlaps are tightened with a stitch screw. Our unique custom flashing system covers all exposed lumber on door headers. Select from a variety of AFAB door options including Cannonball no-problem doors and hardware. Cannonball doors are the most durable, reliable doors in the industry and are backed by a lifetime guarantee. We can provide floor heating as well. Every step in the AFAB building process is designed to exceed standard building codes.
